ImageUpdater is essentially a stripped down download manager and update notifier. The user specifies a list of URLs to download images from, which ImageUpdater downloads to the hard drive in the background. If the files already exist, they are checked to see if they match the downloaded files. If they do not match, they are assumed updated, where the user is then notified of updates. You can also choose to have updated files accumulate.
This is useful for images (or possibly regular files) on the internet that are updated frequently, if you want to be notified of when they change.
