SLeek
Note
If you somehow purchased SLeek for any money, get a refund. I’m not selling SLeek, nor have I ever sold it. It has always been free of charge. If anyone claims to have my permission to sell it, they are lying.
Please be sure to check the front page for details whenever I make a new release. :)
Downloads
Requires .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to be installed.
About
SLeek is an open-source (BSD-style license), relatively lightweight client for Linden Lab’s Second Life virtual world. It allows you to perform basic in-world tasks such as chatting, IM, viewing Inventory, viewing Profiles, and more. It can be useful especially for lower-power computers, or if you only need the basic functionality of SL at the moment.
SLeek is currently in alpha status. Bugs may happen! :)

I’ve set up a place on Google Groups where anyone can discuss SLeek-related things. I may also post there occasionally about development progress!
About the author(s)
SLeek is mostly a one-man project right now, although anyone can contribute code since it’s open-source. I can be contacted through a few different methods:
- Second Life: Delta Czukor
- Email: deltaphc -at- gmail -dot- com
- IRC: EFNet, #secondlife, #libsl
- Comments on front page posts.
- Submitting bug reports, suggestions, and/or patches? Issue tracker on Google Code.
Bleeding-edge
The SVN repository contains the latest (usually post-release) source code which you can compile and use yourself if you really want to stay updated. Please note that code in the repository may be unstable.
Also note that the repository contains no precompiled code or dependencies of any kind, which means that things like libsecondlife.dll are not included. So to compile the code, you can follow these steps:
- Download and/or install either C# 2008 Express (free) or Visual Studio 2008 if you don’t have them already.
- Download the libraries needed to compile.
- Checkout the SLeek source code from SVN.
- Open SLeek.sln from the SLeek source code.
- Try compiling it. If it complains about references to libsecondlife, Nini, or anything else, remove and re-add them in the Solution Explorer. Where applicable, this must be done for both the SLeek and SLNetworkComm projects. You can find the necessary .dll files in the libraries .zip you previously downloaded.
- That should be it! Have fun.
