SLeek

Update (July 20, 2008)

SLeek is no longer being maintained by me. For details, please read this post. The download on this page will remain here until further notice.

Note

If you somehow purchased SLeek for any money, get a refund. I’m not selling SLeek, nor have I ever sold it. It has always been free of charge. If anyone claims to have my permission to sell it, they are lying.

Please be sure to check the front page for details whenever I make a new release. :)

About

SLeek is an open-source (BSD-style license), relatively lightweight client for Linden Lab’s Second Life virtual world. It allows you to perform basic in-world tasks such as chatting, IM, viewing Inventory, viewing Profiles, and more. It can be useful especially for lower-power computers, or if you only need the basic functionality of SL at the moment.

SLeek is currently in alpha status. Bugs may happen! :)

About the author(s)

SLeek is mostly a one-man project right now, although anyone can contribute code since it’s open-source. I can be contacted through a few different methods:

  • Second Life: Delta Czukor
  • Email: deltaphc -at- gmail -dot- com
  • IRC: EFNet, #secondlife, #libomv
  • Comments on front page posts.

The Grand Plan

So, where to begin? A lot has been going on in my life in the past several months. As a result, I haven't really been able to get into SLeek that much (clearly). Besides what's going in my life, I've been somewhat unsatisfied with the direction SLeek was going. When the project ....Click here to continue reading

Acquired by Microsoft

Today is a very exciting day, as I'm pleased to announce that SLeek has been acquired by Microsoft! This has been a long time coming, and I'm glad it has happened. I am now working for them, and as such, they've requested that I make a few changes to SLeek ....Click here to continue reading

SLeek Development Update 2/22

Finally! SLeek got updated! Please note that this is mostly a maintenance release, to bring SLeek up to date. It won't solve every single problem SLeek has, but hopefully it should solve a few of them. Rest assured there will be more development updates to come (of course). Changes since last ....Click here to continue reading
